Are the opening hours of the museums standardized?

No. Opening hours vary depending on the museum. Some are closed on Mondays, others have evening opening hours. If the day after the start of use is a closing day, the validity period is extended by one day.

Are there group offers?

Please contact customer service by phone at +496997460239 or by e-mail at artcard@mmg.de. Customer service is available from Monday to Friday from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.

Our Museumsufer ticket is already heavily discounted, so unfortunately we cannot offer any additional group discounts.

Can I also take part in guided tours with the MuseumsuferTicket?

Free admission only applies to the exhibitions. Guided tours, workshops or events are not included.

Can I also use the MuseumsuferTicket for business purposes (e.g. as a company card)?

The ticket is for private use only. There are special arrangements for companies. Please contact customer service by phone at +496997460239 or by e-mail at artcard@mmg.de. Customer service is available from Monday to Friday from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.

Can I cancel the MuseumsuferTicket or have it refunded?

Withdrawal or reimbursement after purchase is not possible. This corresponds to the statutory regulation on the exclusion of the right of withdrawal for contracts for leisure events with a fixed period (Section 312g (2) No. 9 BGB).

Do I have to register in advance or make a reservation to visit the museum?

As a rule, advance booking is not necessary. However, reservations may be required for busy special exhibitions or pandemic-related measures.

For what period is the card valid?

The MuseumsuferTicket is valid for two consecutive calendar days from the selected date of purchase – not by the hour.

Example: Purchase on Monday → valid Monday & Tuesday (not 48 hours). If the day after the start of use is a closing day at the museum, the validity period is extended by one day.

How much does the MuseumsuferTicket cost?

  • One-way ticket: 21 €
  • Family ticket for 2 adults (in partnership) and children/grandchildren under 18: €32
  • Reduced one-way ticket (only directly at the museum with proof): €12

I have not received my online ticket or have accidentally deleted it – what can I do?

Please first check the spam folder in your e-mail inbox or log in to your customer account on the website. Here you can retrieve all purchased tickets again. If you have not set up a customer account, please contact customer service during business hours by telephone at +496997460239 or by e-mail at artcard@mmg.de. Customer service is available from Monday to Friday from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm. There is no entitlement to a replacement outside of business hours.

Is the MuseumsuferTicket also suitable for people with disabilities?

Yes, many museums are barrier-free. The accompanying person of people with severe disabilities (GdB from 50) also receives free admission.

Is the MuseumsuferTicket also valid for special exhibitions?

Yes, it also applies to special exhibitions.

Is the ticket also valid for public transport in Frankfurt (e.g. RMV)?

No, the ticket is not valid for local public transport.

Is the ticket transferable?

No, the MuseumsuferTicket is personal and non-transferable. A valid photo ID must be presented upon entry.

Is there a reduced MuseumsuferTicket and who is entitled to one?

Yes, the reduced one-way ticket costs €12 and is valid on presentation of proof for:

  • Children from 6 to 18 years of age
  • Pupils
  • Apprentices
  • Students (does not apply to 3rd year university students)
  • Volunteers
  • Unemployed
  • Persons with a degree of disability (GdB) from 50
  • Frankfurt Pass/Culture Pass holders

The discounted one-way ticket is only available at:

  • all 39 museums and exhibition venues
  • Tourist Information Römer
  • Frankfurt Ticket and all advance booking offices of Frankfurt Ticket
  • Ticket store in MyZeil, 2nd floor, store number 77

Is there also an annual ticket for the Museumsufer?

Yes, the MuseumsuferCard. This costs:

  • Single ticket: 89 €
  • Family ticket for 2 adults and children/grandchildren under 18: €150
  • Reduced Single ticket: 45 €

The annual tickets and the practical subscription can be purchased using the MuseumsuferCard.

What is the Museumsufer Frankfurt?

The Museumsufer is a unique ensemble of museums along the Main. It was designed in the 1980s and is one of the most important cultural miles in Europe.

What is the MuseumsuferTicket?

The MuseumsuferTicket is a 2-day ticket that gives you free admission to 39 museums in Frankfurt am Main and the surrounding area. The ticket is available as a one-way ticket, family ticket or reduced ticket (only available in the museums).
